THE BATMAN STRIKES, a monthly comic book based on the new TV cartoon, THE BATMAN ended its successful run last year with issue #50. The DC Comic was pencilled by Chris Jones and inked by Terry Beatty. This ended an eleven year run on various "animated-style" Batman books for Terry -- beginning with BATMAN AND ROBIN ADVENTURES #18. The covers for Terry's first and last books of that run are shown below.

Terry is no longer inking a monthly Bat-book for DC, concentrating instead on RETURN TO PERDITION, a 180 page graphic novel sequel to ROAD TO PERDITION. The book is written by Max Allan Collins and will be published as part of the Vertigo Crime Line. Still, he has found time to ink several issues of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, and is lookng forward to revisiting Gotham City from time to time. One of Terry's isues of BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD is collected in this new trade paperback. Here (minus logo and cover copy) is James Tucker's cover illustration for the book.

DC Comics has collected previously published issues of THE BATMAN STRIKES and BATMAN ADVENTURES in digest form. Covers of the first three are shown here. Terry's inks are featured throughout both books. Click on the covers to order!

In the years Terry has worked on the various animated-style Batman comics they have won several Eisner Awards, inlcuding "Best Graphic Album" for the Batman & Superman Adventures book, World's Finest
